I have been an avid runner for more than 30 years. My favorite terrain contains dirt, while this is less impactful on the body, it does lead to more debris getting into the worst possible places. Had always thought about a solution to the problem not knowing that the journey was going to get more personal. 

In 2005 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. The only lingering symptom is referred to as toe drop (aka foot drop), an occasional stubbing, dragging of the front of my shoe. Although running before MS still had debris issues, this motivated me to design, develop and patent the polyurethane barrier to virtually eliminate the problem. My left-over symptom is a mere annoyance compared to my brothers and sisters that have far greater impact to their lives, God bless them. 

I spent the next 15 years thinking I should do something about this problem. The fire was lit in November 2019. It took 6 years, from concept to the current product. We worked with a Denver based 3D mold designer, it was so fun to see the progress, six different molds printed, we were picky.  Every one of the configurations led us to this design. 

Never could have made it here without the expertise of Adam. Will give a shout out to those who have helped us along the way, from development, 2 patent submittals with record approval times (that rarely happens, there are no other designs that compare!), the trademark approval, the website designer, photographer, and apparel printing.  We are so grateful to all of them. Frustrated by debris disrupting outdoor sports, we created a performance sock featuring reinforced zones, multi fabric construction, and a protective barrier sewn tightly into the opening of the sock to keep out rocks and grit. After extensive testing and refinements on diverse terrains, our socks help athletes focus on their run—not what’s inside their shoes.
